iSS Blackjack brings the excitement of the casino to your Windows Mobile Pocket PC or Windows Mobile Smartphone. For players who are looking to improve their game, or for those who are looking for entertaining casino gameplay, iSS Blackjack is fun for players of all skill levels.

The game of Blackjack

iSS Blackjack allows you to play one player Blackjack much like you would in many casinos. The goal of the game is to get a hand totaling as close to 21 as possible without "going over", as well as scoring more than the dealer. The specific rules of the game vary depending on which difficulty setting you have selected. Please see the Options section for more information.

The screen will show the dealer hand at the top, with the player hand below (or to the right depending on your device’s screen size). The buttons to control gameplay appear at the bottom. You may press the Menu softkey at any time to exit.

To start a new game press "New Game" on the Menu screen. Before you begin play you must first place a bet. To place a bet, select or press one of the Bet buttons labeled $5, $10, $25, & $100. You may not bet more than you currently have in your bank. To start a hand select the Deal button.

Once the cards have been dealt you will be able to hit, stand, double, surrender, split or buy insurance depending on the cards dealt and the skill setting chosen. Please note, due to screen space restrictions you will not have the option to split on devices with screen resolutions of 176x220.

Controls

Blackjack may be played with or without a stylus (if your device supports it). To play with a stylus, simply tap the on screen buttons to activate.

To play without a stylus, you have two options depending on your device. To play with the 5-way control, press up/down/left/right to move the white onscreen selector. Once the selector is around the button you wish to activate, press the center of the 5-way control.

For devices with a numeric keypad (ie, 0-9 buttons), all of the onscreen buttons are mapped to the physical buttons. During the bet stage, the buttons will do the following:
1 - Deal
2 - Reset Bet
3 - Bet $5
4 - Bet $10
5 - Bet $25
6 - Bet $100

When a hand is in play the buttons will do the following:
1 - Hit
2 - Stand
3 - Double (when available)
4 - Surrender (when available)
5 - Split (when available)
6 - Insurance (when available)

To access the options, select the Options button from the Menu screen.

• Play Sound: Toggles the sound on and off
• Difficulty: Change the difficulty between Easy, Medium, & Hard (see below)
• Table Color: Choose the table color

The Difficulty Settings

Easy:

• Game played with one (1) deck (auto shuffles)
• Blackjack pays 2 to 1
• Dealer hits on soft 17
• Always shows the dealer's cards
• Shows the current value of the player and dealer hands
• Allows the option to surrender
• Five (5) cards valued as 21

Normal:

• Game played with two (2) decks (auto shuffles)
• Blackjack pays 3 to 2
• Dealer hits on soft 17
• Shows the current value of the player and dealer hands
• Allows the option to surrender

Expert:

• Game played with four (4) decks (auto shuffles)
• Blackjack pays 3 to 2
• Dealer stands on soft 17
• Does not allow the option to surrender

Uninstalling

To uninstall from your Windows Mobile Pocket PC:

• Go to Start | Settings | System tab | Remove Programs.
• Select on the name of the iSS game or application and tap "Remove".
• Follow the onscreen instructions.

To uninstall from your Windows Mobile Smartphone:

• Go to Start | Settings | Remove Programs.
• Select on the name of the iSS game or application and tap "Remove".
• Follow the onscreen instructions.

Your iSS Windows Mobile application should now have been uninstalled.

Note, when updating your iSS Software, you should uninstall any old versions before installing the new version. In most cases, you can install a new trial version to update an older full version unless the new version is a paid upgrade.
